Our Mission
To promote economic activity between Canadian companies in the construction sector.
The portal has been in operation since 1997 and includes 4000 Canadian businesses in the construction sector.
In the spring of 2005, an overhaul was done to redefine the scope and purpose of construction.ca Once a general portal, construction.ca now begins its transformation to a B2B (business-to-business) website. More specifically, the improved site will be designed to establish an electronic community for products and services exchanges. Businesses registered on the site will also be displayed to consumers.
The portal will act as an intermediary, e.g. it will facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers.
Here are few other services that will soon be offered :
- For contractors: Call for tender to find subcontractors, suppliers, machinery, etc.
- For goods and services suppliers: Various offers of services (professional & technical) and products, machinery and labour
- Classified adds (used machinery for sale, tools, search for a type or brand of graders')
- Job offers (e.g. looking for an experienced welder for a contract on the North Shore)
- A resume bank
- Downloadable files: Articles, examples of contracts, proposals, etc.
